Fabric: quick-dry or nothing

It holds sublimated color better than any natural fiber, dries in minutes instead of hours, and survives chlorine without the fading you see on cotton blends. Weight matters too: around 155 gsm feels premium without getting heavy in the water. If a supplier cannot tell you the fabric weight, that is your answer about the rest of the order.
Print method: sublimation vs. embroidery
Dye-sublimation bonds ink into the fiber itself, which is why an all-over print survives pool chemistry, salt and sun for years without cracking or peeling. It is the right call for patterns, photos and bold color. Embroidery is the opposite tool: a small stitched crest that reads premium and tactile, best on solid-color trunks for clubs, resorts and staff uniforms. The wrong choice is a big printed logo pretending to be a crest, or a tiny embroidered mark trying to carry a loud design.
Sizing: collect it once, collect it right
Group orders fail at sizing more than anywhere else. The fix is simple: share a size chart before anyone commits, collect responses in one spreadsheet, and order one or two spare pairs in the middle sizes. A good supplier accepts youth and adult sizes mixed in a single run, so a family reunion or a junior swim program does not need two orders.
Minimums and timing
A 12-pair minimum covers most real groups: a bachelor party, a lifeguard crew, a first retail test.
